  • Apply DOD and DISA security regulations, policies and procedures to a multidiscipline security program. Plan and implement policy direction to the DECC Mech operating requirements. Develop security policy and procedures, techniques and methods for a variety of work situations and various degrees or levels of security control.

  • Interpret and integrate new DOD/DISA guidance pertaining to physical, industrial, personnel, and information and operations security for DECC Mech.

  • Coordinate security requirements for visits to the center based upon governing release of classified information and sensitive unclassified information commensurate with national security policy.

  • Provide technical advice for security plans, specifications and designs for new construction or modification of existing facilities to ensure incorporation of necessary ISS measures.

  • Draft and implement a DOD/DISA personnel security program governing the granting, suspension, denial, and revocation of security clearances and special access authorizations. Provide technical support for the submission of requests for personnel investigations. This will include personal interviews, outside agency file checks, and support the suitability evaluation of personnel for assignment to sensitive duties.

  • Support the DECC Mech Security Officer in the preparation of DECC Mech security plans, information papers, security operating instructions, and briefings necessary to explain and carry out policy and procedural changes.

  • Analyze security program effectiveness and identifies trends throughout DECC Mech in terms of meeting federal and agency goals and objectives. Coordinates security matters in the following areas: Information, personnel, industrial, and physical and operations security.

  • Support project officers, program managers and procurement personnel with the development of acquisition requirements packages and contracts relating to the protection of classified or sensitive defense information and facilities.

  • Support DoD Information System Access Control system(s) design, development, implementation, certification and accreditation efforts.

  • Support Information Assurance Officer review and assessment for Information Technology (IT) level access requirements.

  • Support Command Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and Common Access Card (CAC) Pin development, implementation and deployment.
